Canned Food is a Must
The biggest news is in feline nutrition. Most pet nutritionists have woken up to the fact that it’s unwise to feed excessive carbohydrates to our carnivorous cats. They’re now recommending more canned food for cats to prevent obesity and a wide variety of health problems. — Dr. Jean Hofve

Just goes to show you a balanced diet is what is necessary for optimum cat health. When I was a child my cat always ate raw foods such as beef, fish and the occasional table scraps. Samantha lived to be 22 years old, with hardly a visit to the vet’s, she was very healthy and happy. What has happened to pet foods in the last 20 years is they got away with using garbage as ingredients but now it has all caught up to the multi-nationals. I hope their profits go down the tubes.
Teri,
You are a great pet mom! 22 years old! I read in Cat Fancy magazine this last summer that some of their reader’s cats lived to be in their 30’s! You can’t tell me that’s just heredity, it’s got to be about their diet.
Bless you!
Teresa
