Ingredients That Are Fine

This is a list of ingredients that you wouldn’t necessarily seek out, such as an ingredient used to coat vitamins and supplements, but they are natural and safe and are widely used in holistic pet products.

  1. When my dog came down with seizures, I took everything she gets and gave it a 2nd look….so for food, I got a generic recipe from my vet that was e-z and could be used. By memory -

2/3 carb – including: pumpkin pie filling (yes, do you believe it??), sweet potato, rice, or egg noodles
boiled meats – hamburg, lamb, chicken, etc – nothing bone-in
    green beans
    carrots
    peas

1/3 tsp of eggshells, yes real eggshells, it’s for their bones

I would make an assortment of pre-cooked foods put in tupperware and then do a weeks worth of mix-and-match in plastic baggies.

NO ONION, SPICES, SPINACH, REAL MEAT BONES, CHOCOLATE, OR GRAPES

I also use whole carrots for chews, 1 of my dogs loves it and it’s so good for them vs having those dyes and processing…

    Good luck!!

  2. CLARIFICATION ABOVE – the dog needs more carbs than meat – so it’s 1/3 meat, 2/3 carbs
